Hi!... Is someone there? Gosh, I feel that the last time I updated my blog was years ago. I hope there is still someone out there reading me. Truth is that I've been happy, busy, setting new goals and making stuff happen... It's almost as if I were stagnant for the last months and now I'm trying to make up for the lost time.
Still, I admit that my absence was also due to some laziness. I haven't been home that much and I am I'm with friends, having dinners, with days and nights of goofiness, projects and fun. It was hard to make time for tin-tu-ras but kept on reading some blogs. Afterwards I'd end up missing my little blog and I decided to write again. Today we will start with a short review 'cause I'm still a bit rusty.
Olá!... Ainda está aí alguém? Caramba, sinto que passaram anos desde que aqui escrevi desde a última vez. Espero que ainda haja por aí alguém a ler o que escrevo. A verdade é que tenho estado feliz, ocupada, a traçar novos objectivos, a fazer coisas acontecer... Quase que parece que estive estagnada nos últimos meses e estou agora a recuperar o tempo perdido.
Ainda assim, admito que andei ausente por preguiça. Tenho estado pouco tempo em casa e quando estou, venho com amigos, faço jantares, tardes e noites de palhaçada, projectos e convívio. Foi impossível dedicar-me ao tin-tu-ras mas fui acompanhando alguns blogs. Quando o fazia acabava por sentir saudades deste meu cantinho e por isso decidi regressar à escrita. Hoje começamos com uma resenha pequena, que eu ainda estou enferrujada.
This purchase was a shot in the dar: never tried a thing from Avène and had no idea if the online reviews of this product were good or bad. I bought it because I wanted a lighter substitute from the Select Sheer Pressed Powder from MAC and because I wanted to try something new out of the brands of my comfort zone.
Avène says that he is translucent, helps mattify the skin and prolongs the wear of your makeup. I can't remember the price (think it was somewhere around 15€ but I'm not sure), I just remember I bought it on a drugstore.

Comprei-o porque queria um substituto mais leve para o pó Select Sheer Pressed da MAC e porque queria algo novo, fora das minhas marcas de conforto.
A marca afirma que ele é translúcido, ajuda a matificar a pele e a aumentar a duração da maquiagem. Não me consigo lembrar do preço (creio que andou à volta de 15€ mas não tenho certeza), só me lembro que o comprei numa farmácia.
The majority of the online reviews I've read talk about a package with a mirror, so I suppose that is an older version. My version is made out of plastic, has a white base and a clear lid. The fact that you can see what product it is without having to open it is nice but the clear lid gets dirty and scratched very easily. It doesn't come with a brush and that's okay because most brushes that come with these products have no real use.

com espelho, pelo que suponho que a tenham alterado desde então. A minha
versão é de plástico, com uma base branca e uma tampa transparente.
Gosto do facto de poder ver que produto é sem ter de abrir a embalagem
mas aquele topo transparente suja-se e risca-se muito facilmente. Não
traz um pincel e falta não faz, a maior parte dos pincéis que vêm com
estes produtos não servem de muito.
I've been using it for some months now and can't seem to figure out if I like it or not. Like the fact that it is translucent and that it doesn't add any texture to the skin. When I wear heavier foundations it doesn't bother me but when I want a more natural and dewy look, such as with this Bourjois foundation, the last thing I want is a layer of powder that takes the finish away. Don't forget that it promises to prolong the wear of your makeup so you should wear this with some foundation or at least some concealer. It does mattify but not for very long. In these humid days and during the Winter it would keep the oil away of my combination skin for around three hours. Good but not great. When the weather gets better and the temperature goes up (soon, I hope) I don't see this doing a decent job and I'll probably switch it for something else. I didn't see this making my makeup last longer, it just mattified my skin.
Já o ando a usar há alguns meses e não sei se gosto dele ou não. Gosto do facto de ele ser translúcido e por isso não adicionar nenhuma textura à pele. Quando uso bases mais pesadas é-me indiferente mas quando quero um ar mais natural e dewy como com a base da Bourjois a última coisa que quero é uma camada de pó no rosto que lhe tire o efeito. Não esquecer que ele promete aumentar a duração da maquiagem, por isso não vale de muito usá-lo sozinho. Ele matifica a pele mas não dura muito. Nestes dias húmidos e durante o Inverno aguentava a oleosidade da pele mista durante umas três horas. Bom mas não óptimo. Quando o tempo melhorar e as temperaturas subirem (em breve, espero) não acho que ele se vá aguentar bem e parece-me que vou ter de o trocar por outro. Não achei que prolongasse a duração da maquiagem, limitou-se a matificar a pele.
